Marketing and Communications Officer 

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer, who enjoys working in multi-disciplinary team, using contemporary communication channels and tools, including digital marketing channels, content marketing and social media.

With day-to-day supervision from the Communications Manager, the role works closely with a range of stakeholders to provide marketing and communications services and support to effectively promote the activities of Plant Health Australia (PHA).

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • proven experience in marketing and communications, including digital communications and social media expertise
  • strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills
  • sound judgement and the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or a related discipline, or currently studying in one of these fields.

The position is based in the PHA office in Canberra and is available on a full-time or part-time (minimum 28 hours per week) basis for one year, with the potential for further extension.  The remuneration range (incl. 11% superannuation) is $83,234 to $107,015, depending on skills and experience.

Graduate Recruitment and Internships

PHA is very interested in suitably qualified graduates to fill Graduate Project Officer roles, and possibly Project Officer roles, at times.  We usually recruit three to six Graduate/Project Officers a year, as vacancies arise.

PHA also provides opportunities for short-term internships throughout the year.  Our internship program is currently full and all available vacancies are listed here.
