Dr Blessy Pathrose joined Plant Health Australia as a Project Officer – Diagnostics and Surveillance in the Diagnostics team.
Blessy comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge in both medical and plant molecular diagnostics. Before PHA, Blessy worked with Genetic Signatures, a specialist molecular diagnostics company who designs and develops new assays for human diseases as the Product Development Scientist.
She completed her PhD research on Characterising sub-species variation in New Zealand Cylindrocarpon/Ilyonectria species that causes black foot of grapevines from Lincoln University, New Zealand.
