On Tuesday 19 May 2026, the Plant Health Australia (PHA) Board of Directors met in Adelaide, South Australia (SA) for Board Meeting 123 (BM 123).

The Board received a number of updates and progress reports to support discussion on several key strategic, financial, operational, compliance and people matters, including:

  • PHA’s compliance with obligations under the Emergency Plant Pest Response Deed (ERPPD) management and key EPPRD activities and outcomes
  • PHA’s cybersecurity strategies and digital systems updates, including a new  learning management system provider
  • timelines for the external audit and production of the Annual Report (AR)Agenda
  • items for the Board Strategy Workshop (BSW) to be held in July 2026
  • internal policy updates and development of a Member Complaints Policy to ensure Board governance oversight.

During the meeting, the Board also approved:

  • the annual budget
  • the application from AgriFutures Australia to become an Associate Member, following circulation of a Directors’ Notice in April and after receiving no objection from Members during the notification period.

The next meeting of the Board will be BM 124 on Tuesday 15 September 2026 in New South Wales (NSW).
