Respond and recover
We work to advance Australia's ability to respond and recover from emergency plant pest incursions
Responding effectively
As the custodian of the Emergency Plant Pest Response Deed (EPPRD), PHA is committed to ensure national response arrangements for emergency plant pests (EPP) are contemporary, fit-for-purpose, supports the needs of signatories and are supported by effective systems and processes and built on partnerships.
We support our Members to design and develop accessible eLearning courses, which are hosted on PHA’s Biosecurity Online Training (BOLT) platform. We also plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate bespoke training activities such as simulation exercises to promote response readiness of our Members and other biosecurity stakeholders.
We participate in key national government committees to support national biosecurity system reform and promote the needs of our Members.
