Our Work / Strengthen partnerships
Building partnerships to face risks
We develop cohesive networks among our Members, the supply chain and the science and technology community
Our partnership approach
PHA seeks to establish new strategic partnerships with non-traditional and international partners and strengthen existing networks to expand reach and uptake of best practice solutions.
Through our involvement in:
- National Committees, we contribute to the development and coordination of nationally consistent plant biosecurity policies and procedures
- the Biosecurity Collective, we work to define and influence the direction of Australia’s biosecurity system towards 2030, particularly in engaging all Australians in building a stronger biosecurity system and building a mass biosecurity movement. The Biosecurity Collective’s flagship event is the bi-annual Australian Biosecurity Symposium, and the Decade of Biosecurity initiative.
- industry-specific biosecurity planning, risk assessment and mitigation, and contingency planning, we reduce biosecurity risks
- industry-funded programs, we develop best practice preparedness and on-farm biosecurity solutions.
