Identify and detect
Improving Australia's ability to indentify and detect biosecurity threats
Enhancing integration
We work to model the use of innovative technologies and approaches in plant biosecurity by providing national systems that collect and collate surveillance and diagnostic data to support early detection and market access. We also facilitate intelligence sharing between industry and government.
We strengthen scientific rigour and capability by coordinating national diagnostic and surveillance networks and developing nationally consistent guides for surveillance and taxonomic detection and identification of plant pests while developing models for a national surveillance system.
Beyond our work with industry and government we also engage the community to enhance the reporting of plant biosecurity threats.
