The National Plant Biosecurity Diagnostic Network (NPBDN) is delighted to announce that planning is underway for the virtual Annual Diagnostics Workshop (ADW) 2024-25. This event is exclusive to NPBDN members.

As a vital network of plant diagnosticians, NPBDN works collaboratively to protect Australia’s agricultural industries, environment and communities from priority plant pests.

The virtual ADW 2024-25 will feature four interactive webinars running from November 2024 to April 2025, each packed with expert insights, new research, and discussions aimed at boosting diagnostic expertise. These webinars offer an invaluable chance to connect with fellow professionals, share ideas and stay in the forefront of plant biosecurity developments.

The first webinar will be held on Wednesday, 13 November 2024, from 3.00pm-5.30pm AEDT. This session will focus on Plant Virology, specifically tobamoviruses and Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV). Our expert speakers include:

  • Dr Adrian Fox (Fera Scientific, UK)
  • Prof Rene van der Vlugt (Wageningen University and Research, Netherlands)
  • Dr Fiona Constable (Agriculture Victoria Research)
