Would you like to play a role in supporting your industry during a plant biosecurity response?

Plant Health Australia (PHA) is delivering Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) training in Bundaberg on 18 August 2026 and registrations are still open.

ILOs play an important role during a biosecurity response, helping ensure that information flows between government and affected industries. They provide industry knowledge, help communicate key messages to growers and businesses and support decision-making in a response.

Through this training, participants will:

  • gain an understanding of the incident management structure and the role of an Industry Liaison Officer
  • develop practical skills to effectively contribute to a plant biosecurity response
  • build connections with government and industry representatives involved in emergency response activities
  • enhance your industry’s preparedness for future biosecurity incidents.

Register for the Queensland Industry Liaison Officer training.
