Plant Health Australia announces changes to the roles of some Board members following annual meetings in Canberra last week.
Liz Alexander has been appointed as Deputy Chair. Liz, who has been on the PHA Board for five years, is the Agribusiness Development Coordinator for the Central Highlands Development Corporation in Emerald, Queensland. Robert Prince was the previous Deputy Chair.
Malcolm Finlayson was reconfirmed as Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee, with new members being Kim Halbert and Dr Prue McMichael. Directors Robert Prince and Dr Joanne Daly completed their term on the committee.
Along with the annual general meeting, PHA members took part in a joint Plant Health Australia–Animal Health Australia member forum attended by representatives from the National Biosecurity Committee, an EPPRD signatories meeting, the 4th PHA members forum and the 26th plant industry forum.
