The first webinar in the new grains biosecurity awareness series was held last month, delivered in partnership by Plant Health Australia (PHA), the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and Grain Producers Australia (GPA).

The session focused on how growers can prepare for and manage key biosecurity risks in spring 2025. Topics included:

• current biosecurity threats facing the grains industry
• practical steps to reduce risk on-farm
• how biosecurity supports growers’ bottom line
• who to contact if something unusual is found in crops.

The webinar also outlined upcoming activities and how the industry is working together to strengthen biosecurity preparedness.

This is the first in a series of webinars designed to build awareness and share practical tools to help protect both individual farms and the broader grains industry.
