Plant Health Australia (PHA) is pleased to announce the launch of a new online learning course, Introduction to AUSPestCheck®, now available on the Biosecurity Online Training (BOLT) platform.

AUSPestCheck® is Australia’s national repository for plant and aquatic animal health surveillance data, providing governments and peak industry bodies with secure access to a national picture of biosecurity surveillance activities. The system plays a critical role in supporting early detection, proof of freedom for market access, and improved coordination of national surveillance efforts.

The new BOLT course introduces users to AUSPestCheck®’s purpose and functionality, covering topics such as navigating the system, understanding surveillance data, and using key features like search and data sharing tools. It is designed to assist new users with onboarding, and also serves as a refresher for current or infrequent users looking to sharpen their skills.

While the training is publicly available, access to AUSPestCheck® remains restricted to PHA Members and Associate Members. Access for individual users is determined through a two-stage tenant and participation administration process. Completion of this course is not a mandatory prerequisite to gain access to AUSPestCheck®.

Those who already have access to AUSPestCheck® can click Users with an existing BOLT profile can request enrolment directly. New users will first need to create a BOLT profile, making sure to use the same email address as their AUSPestCheck® account to assist with verification.
