New developments underway for AUSPestCheck®
AUSPestCheck®, the nationally endorsed system for collating plant health surveillance data, continues to grow and innovate. Over the last three years, it has expanded to house data of nearly 60 pest targets, comprising over 7.5 million data points from 160 users, across 16 agencies.
The system functionality continues to evolve with the upcoming release of the data sharing container feature. Set to launch in the next two months, this feature allows agencies to securely share data across programs with full oversight and control.
Developed and tested in a case study with Citrus Australia and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, this feature supports market access by combining and visualising data sets from different groups. This marks a significant milestone for AUSPestCheck® and will benefit all Plant Health Australia (PHA) Members.
Other enhancements underway include:
- improved visibility on the dashboard to support users in identifying program linkages using the Data Sharing Container
- national data collation for animal and aquatic health programs, with important functionality released in July that will assist animal health programs schedule and budget work programs
- ability to development transmission zone maps for high-priority pests.
AUSPestCheck® has also recently released the requested PowerBI reporting feature, which provides an overview of surveillance activities for users.
All functionality will be available to plant health stakeholders of AUSPestCheck®. We encourage Members to contact us to explore how these new features can support their needs.
