Simon Morgan is a seasoned Information Systems Manager with over 25 years of experience spanning IT leadership, environmental data management, and international program coordination. His career includes pivotal roles with global fisheries commissions such as the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna and the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources, where he led data and digital systems development, organised and participated in international meetings, and designed and managed cross-governmental programs focused on sustainable marine resource management.
Simon combines deep technical expertise in software development, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure with strategic leadership in digital transformation across education, health, and environmental sectors. He has successfully guided organisations through complex system upgrades, data governance reforms, and cyber maturity initiatives, including alignment with ACSC Essential 8 and ISO27001 standards.
With a strong track record in stakeholder engagement – ranging from International Organisations and Governments to end users and Member organsations – Simon excels in bridging technical and operational needs to deliver resilient, secure, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
