National Fruit Fly Strategy Implementation Action Plan

NFFS Implementation Action PlanIn 2009, a new expert based National Fruit Fly Strategy Implementation Committee independently chaired by Mr Paul Hickey developed the National Fruit Fly Strategy Implementation Action Plan. Industry and government experts collated the plan and following broad public consultation, released the finalised plan in April 2010.

The National Fruit Fly Strategy Implementation Action Plan is designed to bring about enhanced market access through the provision of a new and improved, resource efficient, nationally integrated approach to fruit fly management in Australia.

The plan sets out 15 broad project initiatives across the commodity supply chain and proposes a national governance structure.
