Richard has twenty years of experience in a wide variety of Learning and Development roles, including instructing and assessing, learning management, training analysis, design, development and evaluation, and learning systems governance. He was educated at the University of Queensland and served in the Australian Army. Since then, Richard has worked in industry, the public service, and consulting roles. He spent three years travelling regional Australia as a field technical officer for a major broadcaster and has recently been engaged in project work for the Australian Antarctic Program’s deep-field Inland Traverse capability as part of the search for the Million Year Ice Core. Richard was introduced to biosecurity during consultant work for the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry through the Exercise PARATUS program.
