Our professional and skilled team work to achieve outcomes for Members through implementation of the Strategic Plan, and associated Annual Operational Plan. PHA’s national office is located in Deakin, Canberra with staff based in Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
Gavin Edwards
Gavin Edwards joined the Preparedness and RD&E Team of Plant Health Australia as a Project Officer in September 2022.
His biosecurity career began in Canberra in an operational role with the former Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service. Since then, Gavin has worked in various policy and operational roles for Australian, New Zealand and United States Government agencies, and most recently with the Northern Territory Government.
Gavin’s role as a Biosecurity Consultant has seen him conduct biosecurity and market access projects for government, industry and international organisations. His role at PHA will be assisting in the collection and analysis of plant biosecurity surveillance and R&D activities across Australia and the development of farm management materials to promote uptake of biosecurity activities among PHA Members.
