Joanne Lee

Dr Joanne Lee has a Bachelor of Plant Biotechnology from the University of Queensland investigating the effect of blackleg infection on canola. She has also worked as a research technician in Saskatoon, Canada, on oat and barley, and in Darwin, Australia, on fruit fly identification.

Prior to working at PHA, Joanne completed a PhD at CSIRO and the Australian National University, examining the response of small RNA in Arabidospis thaliana following Fusarium oxysporum infection. At PHA she has worked in the preparedness and RD&E team and currently works on emergency preparedness and response projects.
