Program Manager – National Strategies & Policy Coordination
Nicholas Woods commenced with PHA in May 2008. Nicholas facilitates the development of National Strategies and assists in Policy Coordination. He has enjoyed a wide experience in the agricultural chemical industry ranging from the commercial aerial application of pesticides to a 20 year university research career investigating the development, application, registration, safety and environmental impact of agricultural and public health pesticides.
Nicholas’ career has encompassed many aspects of Australia’s plant protection industry. Following the completion of a Bachelors degree in science (Physics / Biology, joint hons), he completed a specialist Masters degree in Bio-aeronautics at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. During the early 1980’s he worked with an aerial application company in North Queensland to set up research programmes investigating the optimisation of pest management in tropical crops and the calibration of aircraft for commercial operations.
