Biosecurity Planning Coordinator
Andrew Vossen is a project officer at PHA. In this role he works with two coordinators to facilitate the National Bee Pest Surveillance Program and undertake biosecurity planning for industries.
Prior to working at PHA, Andrew worked as a research officer at CSIRO. He supported programs that aim to safeguard national biosecurity systems and improve the capacity and capability of plant health diagnostics. He has also worked at Sydney Water where he supported the delivery and management of a sampling and hydrometric contract with the Sydney Catchment Authority (WaterNSW).
Andrew has a degree in ecology from the University of New England (UNE) where he majored in plant and insect related disciplines. While studying he received consecutive UNE Vice Chancellor’s Scholar Awards and numerous faculty accolades.
